Connie is passionate about helping families embrace their journeys where reconciliation and restoration can occur. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and General Education from Calvin College and her Master’s in Educational Leadership from Georgia College and State University. With extensive experience in program leadership and effective communication, Connie is committed to supporting both parents and children.

Growing up with her brother Greg, who identified as gay, Connie witnessed the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ individuals and their families. This personal experience fuels her commitment to creating a safe and welcoming space at Embracing the Journey, where love and acceptance thrive.
