Julie O'brien

Julie is a retired elementary and middle school teacher of 35 years. She retired in 2020 from public education but continues to work part-time as a student teacher supervisor for WGU. Julie and her husband have been married for 36 years and have two wonderful adult children, Tommy, and Sarah. Sarah came out 15 years ago, and the O'Brien's journey has been a blessing yet very rocky initially. At that time, there weren't many options for support. Fast forward to 2021… Sarah and Julie attended the Reformation conference in Arizona, where Julie was overwhelmed by the love shared by all. Julie says, "God sparked my heart to find a way to help other parents, and thanks to Embracing the Journey, I have found it. I am truly grateful for this opportunity and humbled by God's faithfulness."
