Kate smith
Kate is from the UK and has been living in the USA for the past 3 years with her husband Andy who is a serving officer in the British Army. As a military wife Kate has moved 19 times in her 28 years of marriage and describes how she is very skilled at packing boxes!!
Kate has two grown up children, Oliver and Freya. In 2013, Oliver came out as gay and since then Kate describes having been on a deep therapeutic and spiritual journey that has transformed her life and faith for the better.
Kate is a Therapeutic Counsellor, Supervisor and Mentor and has also been part of leading Women’s ministry within the British Armed Forces Christian Union. Kate has a love of writing and has recently begun facilitating online therapeutic writing groups.
Kate is passionate about seeing “captive hearts set free” and for a number of years has worked in Uganda ministering to young women trapped in trauma and abuse.
Kate enjoys singing in choirs, long walks and going to the theatre.
